Edgy with Plaid

I was feeling a bit edgy the other day so I pulled out my high-waisted plaid skirt and paired it with a plain white tee, jean vest and wedge's. Plain and simple!

Picture Day

Today at work was picture day! Yeap, just like the picture day you had back in school. The pictures will eventually be cropped to only include a shot from about the shoulders up, but nonetheless it was an opportunity for me to throw together a fun outfit! Yay, as if I need an excuse for that!

So in the spirit of the goods,ole school days today's lesson is about pops of color in a black and white outfit. I paired two black and white tops, a striped tank with a flower patterned kimono. Then, I threw on a pair of mint jeans, a sparkly necklace to match, and a fuchsia lip.

Treasures of T.J.Maxx

I'm a bargain shopper,always have been, always will be! On a recent trip to T.J.Maxx I hit gold in the form of a daisy printed jumper! It was one of those outfits that I wasn't sure of by the looks of it on the hanger, but something told me to try it on. The result was a glorious jumper I couldn't do without, and for only $15 it was a no brainier! I decided to dress it up for a bit by throwing on a leopard print belt and some killer heels (purchases a few months back from another fav, Nordstrom Rack).

The only downside to a jumper? Basically getting completely naked every time you go to the restroom, especially when you add a belt. The things we do for fashion!

Spring Lust List

Spring is in the air, or more like summer with the excessive heat we've been having here in San Diego! So in the spirit of the season I've put together my five current lust list items.

1. Monochromatic Colors
    I'm loving the look of pairing two separate pieces in fun bright spring prints and colors, like the below.

2. Overalls (or as they're being called these days dungarees)
    A few months back I saw this classic children of the 90's look make it's way back into modern fashion. I       debated for months how I really felt about them, and came to the ulitmate conclusion that I'm in love! You     may even see these pop up in a future blog post ;)

    Maybe it's my recent foray into Paleo diet, but I am OBSESSED! Crop tops with long skirts, high-wasted
   shorts and anything else I can pair them with!

4. Prints on Prints
    There are so many prints out there these days, and prints on prints are amazing! In fact on a recent trip to        NYC I bought this little diddy from TopShop

 

5. Boho Chic (of course)
    Loving the fun printed, 70's inspired wide leg pants out there with a cute crochet crop top (bringing it back     to crop tops, I tell you I'm in LOVE with them!).

Vintage Inspiration

I love the retro feel of some clothes, and even more so if the outfit includes leopard! I have been eyeing these amazing leopard pants at Zara for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I couldn't be happier with them! They have a skinny ankle length cut, in a high rise waist, and best part is that the front print is just a tad lighter than the back. I paired it with a mustard color shirt, which can actually also be tied up on the side, and killer heels. Love!

Fascinating Florals

Casual Friday at work means comfy clothes and shoes, and with spring in the air I was excited to break out this colorful kimono. I paired it with a leopard print love shirt, some shiny leather leggings and flat sandals. And lucky me I have some bangles that matched my kimono perfectly!
